At regular intervals several training courses of specialisation and examination take place. All these courses are directed by Dai-Sifu Tassos personally. Being an IDVTA-member you are allowed to take part in every course, no matter in which country it takes place. The announcement has to be done by the head teacher or by the IDVTA member management.

Courses of Examination

After a DVT-student has learned a training-program successfully it must be completed with a final test. As the programs of the single grades are in succession this “quality-check” is very important. In case a mistake creped in it becomes more difficult to correct this mistake after a certain time of internalisation.

Stress and anxiety for the exam at the DVT-training courses are out of place. The exam is displayed through a very intensive training which can be spanned from 5-7 hours. Breaks are naturally provided. During the whole time Dai-Sifu Tassos gets a picture of the level of skills of the students. He revises and explains backgrounds and coherencies.

Instructor-Courses

These courses are provided for grades of instructor and teacher.

They serve to “learn the teaching” and are to provide a constant and consistent standard of quality.

Weapon-Courses

At these kind of courses the fight against and with weapons stands in the foreground. Possible weapons are knives, sticks, Tonfa, guns, long-sticks, double-knives and diverse items of the everyday life that could be used as weapons.

The primary aim is to get to know the effectiveness and use of the weapons.

Just so, “fears“ of attacks with a weapon can be diminished.
